Chris undertook extensive building work in my house involving detailed consultation especially with regard to re-plastering options. these were fully discussed and Chris was extremely helpful. The estimates and all costings were accurate and reasonable. The timescale predicted was as predicted and adhered to. During the course of the job, various other problems were found to exist in the property, of which I was immediately informed and the further jobs, too, were completed swiftly and were very reasonably priced. I am delighted with the results; the quality of work is excellent.

Mr Hackett has carried out a variety of building projects on three of our homes over the past fifteen years. The fact that we have engaged him on numerous occasions is testimony to our trust in him and our satisfaction with his work, which we have found to be of the highest standard. Works undertaken include two large extensions involving excavations, groundworks, construction and management of the projects. In all cases, work was completed efficiently and appeared well organised and Mr Hackett was most helpful dealing with regulatory bodies and our architect. I may add that the most recent project involved the sensitive restoration of a cottage listed by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) which has been especially challenging and requiring exceptional skills and specialist knowledge.

My wife had a concept and idea for a new front garden, the addition of a bay window and drive and we had real problems finding a builder that understood exactly what needed doing and had the imagination, foresight and skills to carry out the work. Last year Chris demolished our large old patio and completely re-built it to a pre-conceived design, including a curved wall and sweeping steps. He was quickly able to see the way forward and point out various difficulties that would need to be overcome. His workmanship was of the highest order, and he was very thorough in everything he did. He has excellent practical building knowledge, a very artistic approach and an excellent flair for shape. We have no reservations in giving Chris our highest Recommendation.
